DAY TRIP: FROM 8:00 AM TO 1:30 PM
The excursion begins at 8 AM when a driver and a guide pick up the passengers at the hotel, to then head to Tierra del Fuego National Park, which is located only 14 kilometers away from the city of Ushuaia.
The first stop is at the End of the World Train Station. There you will have the chance to take a 60-minute ride along the last 7 km of the original route of the famous Prisoners' Trail.
During the ride you can enjoy a wonderful scenery composed of forest, rivers, peat bogs, and the ruins of a Yámana settlement, the first natives who inhabited the area. We will also make a stop to appreciate the beautiful Macarena Waterfall, before entering the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Once in Tierra del Fuego National Park, you will be able to observe the most characteristic species of the Fuegian (or Sub Antarctic) forests, among which it is possible to mention shrubs, beeches, Ñires, Lengas, Indian Beard and Chinese Lanterns, all this in a spectacular extension of 63,000 hectares.
The first stop inside the park is the end of Route 3, in Lapataia Bay, where you will find the famous sign of the End of the World, which symbolizes the union of Ushuaia and Alaska.
You will continue to Laguna Verde, where you will be able to see one of the faces of Cerro Condor, which marks an imaginary boundary with the Republic of Chile.
The next stop is at Lake Roca. There you will be able to contemplate the typical Patagonian postcard composed of mountains, forests and lakes.
The last point to visit is Ensenada Zaratiegui. There you can admire the Isla Redonda, and visit the Argentine Post Office, where visitors from all over the world usually stamp their passport and also send correspondence or postcards to anywhere in the world, with the stamp of the "End of the World"!
The return to the hotel is scheduled for 1:30 pm.
